Looking ahead into 2024, the consensus estimated growth of earnings for Global REITs is +4.3%, while the MSCI World Index is projected to have earnings growth of +4.8%.
We expect continued volatility in 2024. The market, however, is currently pricing in a soft/no landing scenario. Historically, the U.S. has experienced a recession approximately 10 quarters after the Fed has initiated a tightening cycle.
2023 proved to be a resilient year across financial markets, with various themes upending narratives that were either overblown or underappreciated heading into 2023.
